What is esthiology? Many visitors to our school wonder the same thing. We’re here to act as a source of information on what esthiology is, where estheticians work, and how to become one if you’re interested. If you’re already aware of esthiology and all of its benefits, check out our program.
What is Esthiology?
Simply put, esthiology is just another word for esthetics. Estheticians are defined by dictionary.com as “Sometimes, aesthetician. a person with special training in administering facials, aromatherapy, skin care, makeup, etc. . .”
Esthiology can also include training in hair removal and body treatments. Overall, we like to think that esthiology is the practice of making people feel well again, starting with the skin and working into their self confidence. It is truly an art and a science to help other’s embrace their glow!
Where Does an Esthetician Work?
Estheticians can work in a variety of places. Their diversity is one of the many reasons that we love this career path! Here are a few potential places that a licensed esthetician could work:
- Cruise Ships
- Health Clubs
- Medi Spas
- Wellness Centers
- And so many more!
What Are The Benefits of Esthiology?
