Veterans Administration Education Benefits

Douglas J Aveda Institute is approved to participate in the Veterans Administration Education Benefit program offering classes in Cosmetology, Cosmetology Educator, Esthiology, and Esthiology Educator. Interested individuals may contact any one of our Admissions offices where we can guide you through the VA enrollment process.

Helpful information you can provide includes:

1. A copy of your DD214 or DD215 with an eligible discharge status* 

*The most common discharge status eligible to receive VA Education Benefits is either ‘Honorable or ‘General under Honorable Conditions’. 

2. Understanding which ‘Chapter’ the veteran has selected for their education benefits*

*Based upon the Chapter in which the veteran has selected, VA Education Benefits may be transferred from the veteran to his/her spouse or children If you are not sure of the status of your VA Education Benefits, we can get you in contact with representatives from the federal and state VA offices that can help.

Most of Douglas J Aveda Institutes are approved to participate in the MyCAA program. This is a program available to qualifying spouses of military personnel. Eligible participants may receive up to $4,000 in grant funds to pay toward tuition costs.
