About the Beacon Student Program

The Beacon Student Program is one of the beauty industry’s most respected student leadership and networking opportunities. Each year, students from beauty schools across the country are selected to participate based on their passion for the industry, leadership potential, and professional goals.
During Premiere Orlando, Beacon participants have the opportunity to:
- Learn from nationally recognized beauty educators and artists
- Network with salon owners, employers, and industry professionals
- Attend exclusive educational sessions and workshops
- Explore the latest beauty trends, products, and techniques
- Build professional relationships that can support their future careers
Experiences like Beacon help students bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional beauty industry, giving them valuable insight into career opportunities and helping them build confidence as they prepare to graduate.

Preparing Students for Success

At Douglas J, education extends beyond technical skills. Students are encouraged to participate in leadership opportunities, professional events, competitions, and networking experiences that prepare them for long-term success in cosmetology, esthetics, barbering, and massage therapy.
Being selected for the Beacon Student Program reflects not only the hard work of these students but also Douglas J’s commitment to providing an education that prepares graduates to thrive in today’s beauty industry.
