Douglas J Institute in Ann Arbor was excited to participate in Glamour Day for the fifth year in a row! Glamour Day is an event held in the student salon at Douglas J Institute Ann Arbor. It’s an amazing event filled with glitter, glam and happy smiles. Read below to learn more about what the event was, who participated and see some amazing shots!
Who We Partnered With
We were happy to partner with the Craniofacial Anomalies and Cleft Palate division of Mott’s Children’s Hospital. For the last five years we have joined forces with the hospital to bring a little bit of shimmer and shine to the lives of very deserving girls within the division. Douglas J Institute students supplied the creativity and the warm welcome as these beautiful young ladies filled our student salon.
Several of our students volunteered to provide a manicure, pedicure, hairstyle and makeup application to the girls who visited us. After the makeovers were complete, glamour photos ended the day. The girls were also treated to lunch while hanging out with our students.

When we think of the beauty industry, we think of a field that changes lives on so many levels. Whether you’re helping boost someone’s confidence with a makeover or you’re providing haircuts to people in need, you are changing the world. As an Aveda school, we made a pact to stay true to the brand-wide mission: to take care of the world around us.
