Beginning at Douglas J Aveda Institute Chicago or Royal Oak involves a bit of waiting process, but we think it’s totally worth it! A minimum of 90 days is required from the time you inquire to the time you can start. In order to be admitted to our institution, you must meet all of our admissions requirements. Here are the most important requirements to meet:
- You must be able to provision an official transcript proving high school graduation.
- You must be able to provide appropriate identification that allows you to be a student in the U.S. at least 30 days past the expected graduation date.
If you have any questions about why these requirements are necessary, contact us! We’re happy to have a conversation with you about our educational and institutional standards.
If you meet all of the admissions requirements and have been accepted by our institution, you will be provided the form I-20 by the Designated Official. Then you must pay the I801 SEVIS fee and submit the required documents to the U.S. Department of State. You’ll then need to apply for a student visa.
Douglas J Aveda Institute cannot provide any advice or recommendations on this process.
When the student either graduates (or withdraws) from the program, the Designated Official will notify the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency within five business days of the student’s last date of attendance.
We can’t wait to see what you will achieve during your time here and after!
